Athletic Scholarship Fund
The Panther Club serves as the fundraising arm for Pitt Athletics. By contributing a minimum of $100 annually to our Athletic Scholarship Fund, you become an active member in the Panther Club.
A Panther Club member's contribution to the Athletic Scholarship Fund directly supports the annual academic and athletic development of Pitt student-athletes. Not only does it provide them with an outstanding education, it also provides the opportunity to compete athletically at the highest levels.
Panther Club membership has its rewards, as only active Panther Club members are eligible to use their priority points.
Like the athletic departments of other institutions, Pitt has a Priority Points System. The Priority Points System is used to determine priority - a donor's rank in the Panther Club - (see Priority Points System). All current Panther Club donors (i.e., annual contributors to the Panther Club Athletic Scholarship Fund between July 1 and June 30) have active priority points, allowing them to receive a variety of benefits, which recognize their contributions (see Member Benefits Chart).
However, the greatest benefit of membership in the Panther Club is knowing that your gift will help the Pittsburgh Panthers achieve our mission of becoming the best athletic program in the Big East Conference while providing deserving young people the opportunity to pursue a world-class education.
To sustain and grow our prominence in intercollegiate sports, we need to increase our funding for athletic scholarships. Being able to fully fund scholarships for all our athletic programs significantly increases our ability to recruit the best student-athletes each year.
We encourage you to join our growing family of contributors who provide vital support for our athletic program.
